LUCKNOW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day ‘Uttar Pradesh Investors’ Summit,’ the first mega event to be organised by Yogi Adityanath government on Wednesday. The Union ministers are likely to chair 30 different individual sessions to woo the investors.

While the PM will inaugurate the meet on Wednesday, President Ram Nath Kovind will grace the valedictory as the chief guest on Thursday. Over 8,000 delegates –both national and international – have already got themselves registered for the summit. "The state government has put its best foot forward to promote the summit across the nation. We held half a dozen road shows in different metros and have devised sector-specific policies to suit the investors,’’ Mahana said.

According to Industrial and Infrastructure Development Commissioner (IIDC) Anup Chand Pandey, the state government would be felicitating during the summit the industrial houses and companies who have signed MoU.

Moreover, seven countries, including Japan, Czech, Slovak Republic, Finland, Netherland, Mauritius and Thailand will be partnering in the mega event. Their delegates will throw light on the policies related to various sector in their countries.

In all, 30 sessions would see industrialist and experts delving into a host of sectors and related policies that will set the tone for UP’s industrial growth. All eyes will be on the Defence sector with UP government promising to set up a dedicated defence corridor.
