Uttar Pradesh: Four minors booked for sexually assaulting four-year-old

In a bizarre and shocking incident of gang rape, four minor boys, aged between 6 and 12 years, assaulted a four -year- old girl sexually under Maharajganj police station in Kanpur district recently.

LUCKNOW: In a bizarre and shocking incident of gang rape, four minor boys, aged between 6 and 12 years, assaulted a four -year- old girl sexually under Maharajganj police station in Kanpur district recently.

The boys, may be the youngest rape accused, allegedly watched pornographic video clips before committing the crime. While the victim is undergoing treatment in a government hospital in Kanpur and was stated to be stable, all the four accused were detained and a case was registered against them.

As per the version of the survivor's father, she was playing outside the house when four boys lured her away to an isolated plot and took turns with here one by one on Saturday.

As the girl did not return home late in the evening, the family launched a search only to find her lying unconscious on the plot. She was bleeding profusely. The parents rushed the girl to the district government hospital for medical intervention where she was now stated to be out of danger.

However, on regaining consciousness, the victim named the four boys and narrated her tale of horror to her father.

The father immediately informed the local police and lodged a complaint against the four accused.

The police detained all four who admitted to their crime. During the questioning, the accused revealed to the police that before committing the crime they watched some pornographic video clips on their mobile phones and then decided to kidnap the victim who was playing in the vicinity and take her to an isolated plot. While an FIR was lodged against all four under relevant sections of IPC and a case under POCSO Act was also registered against them at the Maharajganj Police Station.

"Even we are shocked over the case. The mobile phones of the boys have been seized and details of their net usage are being probed into to confirm their shocking revelations," said Akhilesh Kumar Meena, SSP, Kanpur.

Meanwhile, all four juveniles were produced before a Juvenile Justice Board on Monday and sent to a correction home for counselling. According to police sources, after a few days of counselling, they would be produced before the board again for further action.
