Man arrested for threatening to blow up PM's rally venue in Jaipur

Modi was addressing a rally of beneficiaries of welfare schemes run by the Centre and the state government in BJP-ruled Rajasthan.

JAIPUR: A man was arrested for threatening to blow up Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally venue here.

The accused had made a threat call to authorities saying he possessed 'divine power' and would blew the venue, the Station House Officer of Ashok Nagar police station, Hemendra Sharma, said.

Taking prompt action, the police traced his mobile number and caught him, the SHO said.

“He appears to be a physic patient. He was caught from near the venue and arrested," the police said.
