Amit Shah to get royal treatment in Jharkhand; 2000 bikes to lead his cavalcade

RANCHI: BJP National President Amit Shah will be on a day-long visit to Jharkhand on Wednesday during which he will meet State Party officials and take stock of the ongoing preparations of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

Party officials said Shah will also hold a meeting with members of Tribal Intellectual Forum to mobilize tribal votes in its favour. Shah will be given 'shahi' welcome after he arrives here and 2000 motorcycle riders which will move ahead of his cavalcade from Birsa Munda Airport to State BJP Office in Ranchi.

In between, he will also be welcomed by Mahanagar BJP workers by showering flower petals on his path from Argora Chowk to BJP Office. "The National President will be given 'shahi' welcome here by Ranchi Mahanagar BJP Unit," said Ranchi Mahanagar BJP President Manoj Mishra.

State BJP Treasurer and Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar said that his visit will prove to be quite encouraging both for organisation and the State Government. "Whenever the National President comes here, he communicates positive energy among the party workers instigating a sense of confidence among them. Shah's guidance has always been proved helpful and has given far-reaching results for the party," said Poddar.

This will be Shah's second visit to Jharkhand during the last 10 months and had visited last time in September for three days during which he had held several rounds of meetings right from Mandal level to State level and had given 19 tasks like - strengthening organizational structure, setting up booth committees, strengthening the youth brigade etc for 2019 elections in the State and had directed them to complete them as soon as possible. If party officials are believed, most of the tasks given by Shah had been completed.

Amit Shah will reach at Birsa Munda Airport at 10 am from where he will directly go to party officials and hold meetings with State BJP officials and booth committees MPs and heads of all 24 districts throughout the day. He will also hold a meeting with 'Tribal Intellectual Forum' and discuss the problems being faced by them. He will stay in the night at State Guest House in Ranchi and will leave for Patna on Thursday.
