Institute of Eminence tag: Centre extends deadline for all applicants, including Vedanta

On Wednesday, a TNIE report headlined “Eminence tag: Rules relaxed for pvt institute” had said that extension was given based on a request by Vedanta.

NEW DELHI: The Union Human Resources Development has clarified that an extension of one month was given to all applicants on January 28 this year to apply for the “Institute of Eminence” tag based on the request made by many institutions, including Vedanta.

On Wednesday, a TNIE report headlined “Eminence tag: Rules relaxed for pvt institute” had said that extension was given based on a request by Vedanta.

It was based on confirmation from various authorities, including HRD secretary (higher education)
R Subrahmanyam.
