BADAUN: Samajwadi Party National general secretary, Mohammad Azam Khan has hit back at the BJP saying that he has turned into an ' item girl' on whose name they had contested the 2017 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh and trying to do so in the coming 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Azam Khan, who was in Badaun to attend the meeting of the Mashrati council here on Wednesday, said now BJP has only his name to contest the elections and have turned me into an item girl.
"I don't know how many cases have been registered against me. My entire time goes in appearing in the courts as every day warrants are been issued against me, " he said.
Claiming that he has no assets and has just one bank account, the SP leader said if people know about my other assets or bank accounts then I am ready to be hanged on the Qutub Minar.
Appealing to everyone to wait for the Supreme court's verdict for the construction Ram Temple at Ayodhya, he said everyone knows the conspiracy of the BJP and they could do anything for their political gains.
Talking about the decision of the Mashrati Council, he said everyone felt that it was necessary to have a combination of dalits , backward and poor rather than going for a poll alliance .
Refusing to demand for a separate political party for the Muslims, he said "I always sticked to SP even when people destered the party for better future".
