BJP to constitute team to assess party's status in 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh

The team, which will cover all the 80 Lok Sabha seats would report back to the state party leadership before Diwali festival.

LUCKNOW:  BJP will be holding a three-day crucial meeting here from Monday to set up minister-party office bearer team to visit the 80 Lok Sabha constituency to assess the party's situation .

The meeting will be chaired by state BJP president Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey and state party General Secretary ( Organisation ) Sunil Bansal, and to be attended by all the state Ministers and the party's Executive Committee members.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath could also attend the meet. The meeting will fix the names of the minister and the party officials, who would go to all the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies for holding a meeting to assess the party's present status and the performance of the sitting BJP MP.

The team would be holding the meeting for three days from November 2. The meeting will be held on Monday evening at the state party headquarters.

State party general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Sunday that the meeting has been called in view of selecting a team of minister and state party office bearer, who will hold meeting in the Lok Sabha constituencies.

The team, which will cover all the 80 Lok Sabha seats would report back to the state party leadership before Diwali festival. They will also give details about the local party workers feedback along with the performance of the BJP MP.

There are 44 ministers excluding the CM and 2 deputy CM in the state and all of them would be engaged in the team along with the state office bearers.

Meanwhile, there is a speculation that around 40 per cent of the 69 sitting BJP MP could be denied ticket this time.
