DEHRADUN: After a video of Bhartiya Janta Party MLA, Rajkumar Thukral surfaced in which he is bad-mouthing the minorities, state BJP has served him with notice.

He can be heard saying that he will never go to the home of any person from the Muslim community and will never attend any function

"Their wives and daughters defile you by spitting into the food they serve you. I will not step in any one of these people's house till I am alive, " said the BJP MLA in the video.

The MLA further addressing to the crowd added that he will only bow before the people of his own community and not the Muslim community.

"My identity is because of you, not these Muslims. I never help any Muslim. These people live in this country and think bad about the country. What is this dividing the country into four parts?," he added.

He further said that no Hindu will be harassed in Rudrapur. He praised a few people for 'rescuing' him and others in riots of October 2, 2011.

Responding over the controversial vide the MLA said, "Someone has done mischief with the video. It is after the riots of 2011 that I addressed these people and someone has edited the entire video. After that most people from the Muslim community hate me."

Thukral is MLA from Rudrapur state assembly constituency from Udham Singh Nagar district.

Devendra Bhasin, spokesperson for the Uttarakhand BJP said, "Notice has been issued to the MLA over the video and he has been asked to submit his reply within seven days. If he fails to submit his reply within stipulated time period, it will be assumed that he has nothing to say."

The spokesperson also added that the BJP is a party which thinks about development, prosperity and happiness of all and does not discriminate on the basis of caste, class, religion, region and language.

The MLA was recently in the line of fire for adressing Goddess Sita as 'Meri Jaan' while playing the role of Ravana in a Ramleela stated in Rudrapur.
