RANCHI: Claiming that Congress will not even get five seats in Jharkhand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said voters have “rejected the alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress” in the first phase of polling.
“Do the people want to know the results? I will leak the paper. In the first phase, JMM and Congress were wiped out,” Shah stated.
Training guns at Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Shah alleged, “He (Soren) will give reservation to Muslims. The reservation of OBCs, Dalits and tribals will have to be cut.” The BJP would identify every infiltrator and throw them out, he added.
Reiterated Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent advice to party leaders to make only those promises that they can be fulfilled, the home minister alleged, “Not a single promise was fulfilled in Karnataka...not even in Himachal or Telangana.”
“Narendra Modi, on the other hand, does what he says. We have promised that every Didi will get Rs 2,100 every month. Every woman will get a gas cylinder for Rs 500. Two cylinders will be given free” Shah added.
‘Beware of bird catchers’
Equating BJP leaders with “bird catchers”, Soren asked people to keep away from the “thieves of MLAs, MPs and democracy.”
“Many bird catchers from all over the country are roaming here. They are the theives of democracy, MPs, and MLAs. I have come here to warn you to keep away from them,” he alleged.
Soren said his government has implemented the old pension scheme, and even the lawyers get pensions.
Jharkhand ‘Muslim quota’
Shah alleged that CM Heman Soren would give reservations to Muslims if his party retained power. If this happens, the quota for OBCs, Dalits and tribals will have to be cut, he claimed.
