BHUBANESWAR: The Gender Sensitisation Committee against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH) of Ravenshaw University has submitted its inquiry report to the Vice-Chancellor on Wednesday. The Committee was probing  the alleged sexual harassment case filed by a Plus Three Science student against Assistant Professor of the Chemistry department Alekh Kumar Sutar.

“We have completed our probe in the case and submitted the report along with suggestions in a sealed envelope to the authority,” said Chairperson, GSCASH, Dr Smruti Prabha Das.
 On the other hand, Vice-Chancellor Prakash Chandra Sarangi said, “I have received inquiry report from GSCASH which is yet to be analysed. After examining the report, necessary action will be initiated as per the procedure of Government Service Rule,” said Sarangi. The complaint was filed by the student on Saturday and Sutar was immediately suspended following which an inquiry was ordered.
