Puducherry, Oct 14 (PTI) BJP's Puducherry unit todayflayed Chief Minister V Narayanasamy for failing takeeffective steps to tackle the fiscal crisis.
Instead the Chief Minister was "trying to cover uphis failure and inefficiency" by criticising the NDAgovernment at the centre and the Lt Governor of Puducherry, aresolution adopted by the unit's executive council meetinghere said.
The resolution pointed out that "because ofinefficiency and misguided administration" a serious fiscalcrisis has cropped up in Puducherry.
The meeting also took exception to the "failure" onthe part of the Puducherry Health department to tackle thedengue menace effectively.
The meeting noted with concern the "diversion offunds" earmarked for the scheduled castes welfare underspecial component plan for "other purposes without theapproval" of the planning authorities of Puducherrygovernment.
Another resolution urged the CBI to expediteinvestigation into alleged malpractices and corruption inadmission of students to post graduate courses in privatemedical colleges here.
The resolution also called for resignation of HealthMinister of Puducherry Malladi Krishna Rao on moral groundsfor the "scam and malpractices." It referred to alleged flouting of rules and norms infilling the PG seats through Centralised Admission committee(CENTAC) here.
The CBI had booked two IAS officers and a few otherofficials of the Puducherry government and of CENTAC lastmonth following complaints of irregularities in admission toPG courses in private colleges here.
