CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and AISA national president Neha Bora, among the more prominent faces of the protests, have often expressed support for each other.
Dipke argued that the government spoke of a cashless economy after demonetization, and now that people have adopted it, the government has imposed taxes on it.
Dipke said students in tribal areas were dying due to inadequate care and support, while those studying in the national capital were also facing safety concerns.
