Three days ago, newindianexpress.com put out 10 survey questions for you, the reader, to give your take on demonetisation, an event that in one fell swoop removed 86 per cent of currency from circulation one year ago and resulted in severe hardship for the poor and lower middle class people, as well citizens living in remote parts of the nation. The economy took a downturn with GDP falling from 7.9% in the first quarter to 5.7% per cent the same quarter this fiscal, micro and small scale industries faced 35% job loss and 50% dip in revenue, and lakhs of daily wage labourers losing their livelihood.

The perception about demonetisation, however, is fairly positive as our survey results show below. Take a look.
