KH Gopinath’s unbeaten double century (211 batting, 235b, 22x4, 1x6) and K Bharath Shankar’s undefeated century (124 batting, 307b, 1x4) helped Jolly Rovers post a mammoth 339 for no loss in 90 overs against IOB on the first day of an eighth round match of the TNCA Senior Division league at IIT-Chemplast ground.
Both openers were in the ‘zone’ as runs came thick and fast. The attack lacked penetration and looked ordinary. It was Gopinath’s third ton of the season and he has made 618 runs in seven matches.
