Praggnanandhaa, Poorna Sri in lead

Top seeds Praggnanandhaa and Poorna Sri (3.0) led the boys’ and girls’ sections respectively after the third round of the 26th Tamil Nadu State Under-9 (Boys & Girls) Chess Championship-2013 held at Sri Krishna Engineering College in Padappai here on Tuesday. FIDE Master Praggnanandhaa, along with 13 others, led the table with a 3/3 score in the boys’ section. Top seed Poorna Sri led the girls’ section along with six other players.

Girls: MK Poorna Sri (3) bt B Pragnya (2), V Rindhiya (3) bt K Rithikaa (2), BS Samyuktha (2) lost to L Jyothsna (3), Saravanan Durga (2) lost to VK Vidula (3), K Shreya (2) lost to B Harshini (3), L Janavika (2) lost to Savitha Shri B (3), G Keerthana Sri (2) lost to KM Shrija (3), P Tarunika (2.5) drew with S Meena (2.5), Sindhana Karthikeyan (2) lost to Rakshitta Ravi (2.5), Shivani Madhu (2.5) bt SP Prenitha (1.5).
