Mukesh Clinches Individual Crown

CHENNAI: K Mukesh claimed the individual championship in the 6-8 years age group at the 24th Tamilnadu State Roller Skating Championship for boys, girls, men and women held from November 30 to December 4 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai. Mukesh, a student of DAV Boys Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram, bagged gold in Speed Skating in the Rink-IV event and also clinched bronze in the Speed Skating in Rink-III (TT) category.

Varun Wins

Varun Kumar of SIAA blanked clubmate Hari Haran 3-0 in a round robin senior snooker league match of the Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association.

Don Bosco Triumph

Adithya’s  26 not out helped Don Bosco (Egmore) beat Chettinad Vidyashram by 11 runs in the Chockalingam memorial trophy T20 tournament for U-12 children at the Gee Ge cricket academy.

Volleyball Camp

During the 64th senior state volleyball championship held at Rajapalayam, 18 men and women were selected for the State coaching camp to be held at Velammal International School, Surapet, from December 15 to January 2. The final 12 selected players (men/women) will represent the state in the 63rd Senior National Volleyball Championship to be held at Chennai from Jan 3.

Meanwhile, the state junior camp will begin from December 10 at Vels University, Pallavaram and the sub-junior camp will be held at Dhanalakshmi Engineering College, Manimangalam from December 13 onwards.
