CHENNAI: St Joseph’s College of Engineering, Chennai emerged champions by defeating Valliammai Engineering College 29-27, 29-23 in the final of the Anna University inter-zonal ball badminton tourney, organised by Anna University Sports Board for its 532 affiliated engineering colleges.

Loyola Regain Title
The Loyola College hockey team won the Madras University Trophy after a gap of four years played at YMCA hockey ground. In the final Loyola beat DB Jain College, Chennai 1-0.
