Pradeep Puts IOB in Command

CHENNAI: AG Pradeep’s unbeaten century (132 batting; 180b, 17x4, 2x6) enabled IOB to take a lead of 62 runs on the second day of the TNCA League first Division Plate Group championship for S R Jagannathan Trophy, at the IC-Guru Nanak college ground. IOB were 308 for 6 in 79 overs at stumps.

Pradeep and Aravind (70) added 179 runs for the sixth wicket in 42.5 overs which helped IOB get the all-important lead.

Earlier, resuming from 231 for 9, India Pistons were all out for 246. R Karthikeyan, who took 8 wickets on Monday, added one more to end with nine for 109.

Riding on S Parthiban’s goal in the 21st minute, Arrows FC defeated RBI 1-0 in a Senior Division football match of the St Joseph’s–CFA league at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
