Suman Hits Maiden Ton

KOCHI:Big-hitting opener Tirumalasetty Suman slammed his first ever century in the shortest format to keep Hyderabad’s chances alive in the south zone Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T-20 league here on Saturday.

Suman cracked seven sixes and nine fours before falling for 100 off just 60 balls en route to Hyderabad’s 31-run win over Karnataka.

Later, Andhra edged hosts Kerala by four wickets. After a late flourish from Jafar Jamal (38 n o) helped the hosts post a competitive 148, skipper Mohammad Kaif shared a 56-run stand for the third wicket with Ricki Bhui to prop up Andhra.
