Coach pans Australia's bowler-friendly pitches

ADELAIDE (Australia): South Australia coach Darren Berrysays Australia's test team is being undermined by the pitches used in domesticcricket which overwhelmingly favor fast bowlers.

Berry said he and other state coaches would raise the issuewith Cricket Australia this week.

He said the production of green-top pitches designed toproduce outright results was a factor in Australia's current shortage of spinbowlers and a lack of depth in its test batting ranks.

Berry told reporters Cricket Australia needed to look into"the state for first class wickets across the country. Wickets all aroundthe country are very, very bowler friendly."
