Noted Indian historian and cricket writer,Ramachandra Guha said the timing of the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar shouldbe left to the conscience of the senior cricketer himself.
"Sachin should look at his conscience," Guha said,adding that the senior batsman contributed 80-odd runs in the first Test of theongoing series against Australia.
"We need toremember this. So let him decide about retirement. As a former cricketer I willnever advise a cricketer when to retire," Guha, who has writtenextensively on the history of Indian cricket, said.
