HAMILTON: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat on Sunday in the second game of the three-match Twenty20 series against New Zealand at Seddon Park.

The tourists made no changes to the squad which beat New Zealand by 16 runs in the first match at Auckland on Friday.

New Zealand, needing to win to keep the series alive, made two changes. Ross Taylor and Mitchell McClenaghan returned in place of Matt Henry and Trent Boult.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who was the hero of his team's win in the first match, said the dry pitch looked good for batting. Some showers were forecast later in the day.

New Zealand: Kane Williamson (captain), Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Ross Taylor, Corey Anderson, Grant Elliott, Luke Ronchi, Todd Astle, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Mitchell McClenaghan.

Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Sohaib Maqsood, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shahid Afridi (captain), Imad Wasim, Umar Gul, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir.
