Witty Waqar

Waqar Younis was at his witty best on Friday. Asked why skipper Shahid Afridi wasn't at the media conference, the coach quipped, “You probably ask him very tough questions. Maybe because of that.” How is the security? “It's just ground-hotel-ground. All is good at the moment.”

SG Invites Big B

On invitation of Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly, Amitabh Bachchan will sing the national anthem, while classical singer Shafaqat Amanat Ali will sing the Pakistani anthem before Saturday's match. Sachin Tendular, Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Imran Khan and Wasim Akram will also be present.

Support for Shoaib

Even though hubby Shoaib Malik is playing in India against India, Sania Mirza won't be present because of tennis commitments in the US. Father Imran is also with her. Sania's mother Nasima with sister Anam and her fiance Akbar will attend the match. “Arriving Saturday. Morning flight,” said Nasima.
