The most destructive T20 player, Chris Gayle, had another world record to his name when he hit the 500th six in a T20 game. Royal Challenger's opener acheived this feat during their rain washed-out match against Rajasthan Royals at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Wednesday night.
It was his 201st T20 game. And the next player with most number of sixes in T20 is his own countryman, Kieron Pollard with 348.
The Jamaican already holds the record for most sixes in IPL history with over 200. On April 13, Gayle had hit his 200th six in IPL, against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the same ground.
However, after the record six, Gayle got out scoring a brief 10 runs off four deliveries. The match between RCB and RR was called off after the first innings due to rain. Bangalore next faces Kolkata Knight Riders on May 2.
