NEW DELHI: IPL organisers on Friday proposed Bengaluru as the venue for the final and Dharamsala and Kolkata as venues for the play-offs.
In a meeting between IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla and Rising Pune Supergiants and Mumbai Indians, it was decided that IPL Governing Council will be asked to select the venues from those proposed. Pune chose Visakhapatnam as an alternate and Mumbai asked for a couple of days to decide.
It is learnt that they are keen on Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium. If not, the BCCI has offered Mumbai Raipur and Kanpur as options.
