HYDERABAD: A Village Revenue Officer (VRO) from Nellore district was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while accepting bribe.
The VRO of Degapudi village in Podalakur mandal of Nellore, Battu Vasantha Rao, was caught redhanded in his private room at Podalakur when he demanded and accepted Rs 3,000 as bribe from a resident of Podalakur, V Adisesha Reddy today afternoon to process the application for issue of pattadar passbook and title deed.
Vasantha Rao would be arrested and produced before a special court for ACB cases in Nellore, an official release said.
