HYDERABAD: Objecting to union home minister P Chidambaram’s comments on political parties, CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu demanded that the at least now the Centre must take steps to resolve the Telangana issue and not waste more time.
In a letter to Chidambaram, Raghavulu said: “You have stated that in Andhra Pradesh, all political parties including Congress, TDP, CPI and CPM all split in the middle regarding Telangana issue. You only made an exception for BJP which has two members in the Assembly. But as you are well aware that our party supports an integrated state, the latest remarks seem to be made intentionally in order to create confusion.” Raghavulu further stated that the Centre must not drag its feet further on the issue by putting the blame on the political parties in the state. This was harming the development in state, he said and added that governance has been paralysed and there is no one to listen to people’s woes.
