Farmers raising slogans after setting afire weighing machines at Enamamula market yard in Warangal on Wednesday.

WARANGAL: Chilli farmers went on a rampage at Enamamula market yard here on Wednesday. Irked over lack of remunerative price to their produce, they damaged everything in the yard.

The farmers set ablaze electronic weighing machines and chilli bags, destroyed furniture, ACs, computer systems in the market yard office. The property loss is estimated at around `1 crore.   Fearing that the farmers would attack them, the market yard officials ran for their lives. Police forces reached the yard  but this did not deter the farmers.
