Arrested judge urges court to stay ACB probe in cash-for-bail

Claiming that he has no connection with the cash-for-bail scam involving former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, suspended judge K Lakshmi Narasimha Rao approached the AP High Court with a request to direct the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to proceed with the investigation in the case.

He wanted the court to stay all further proceedings in the case being probed by the ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau).

Narasimha Rao, in his petition, alleged that the investigation conducted by the ACB joint director Sampath Kumar and his team is unfair and biased with an intention to save Law minister Erasu Pratap Reddy in the bail scam.
