In a tragic incident, two persons were electrocuted while another was critically injured, after attending a marriage ceremony at Tenkayalapalem hamlet of Juvvaladinne village in Bitragunta mandal of the district, in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as V Koteswara Rao(18) and Ravi(20) from P Pattapupalem in Singarayakonda mandal of Prakasam district. Police said, a 25-member marriage party had arrived in a lorry to attend the marriage on Saturday night. After the ceremony, all the 25 persons occupied the lorry to return to their village.
While, the lorry was taking a turn at the marriage function hall, 3 persons came in contact with a live wire over their head and two died. A case has been registered.
