HYDERABAD: Assembly speaker N Manohar has decided to review the performances of all Assembly committees every quarter in a year and will ask the government to implement the all the reports of the committees without delay.

Manohar attended a joint meeting of the Assembly SC and ST Legislative Committees on Friday.

SC & ST Committee chairmen K Prasad Kumar and P Rajanna Dora, members of the committees and officials were present. The speaker asked the two committees to review the enforcement of the SC & ST Atrocities Act.

He agreed to allot one day during the budget session to discuss the problems of Dalits and tribals.

The Assembly will discuss the Araku Declaration which was adopted by MLAs during their recent visit to the agency area. He also said that he decided to organise a workshop for SC and ST MLAs before the commencement of Assembly sessions. He declared that a statue of Constitution drafting committee chairman BR Ambedkar would be installed on the Assembly premises
