MEDARAM (WARANGAL): It's curtains for the four-day Sammakka and Saralamma festival with the priest taking the deities in to the thick forest (Vana pravesam).

There was a big rush on the final day as devotees thronged to bid farewell to the tribal Goddesses. About 80 lakh devotees participated in the jatara, district collector Rahul Bojja said and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. Besides the collector, joint collector Vakati Karuna, additional joint collector Sanjeevaiah, revenue official Seshadri and 38 staff camped for five days to monitor arrangements.
