HYDERABAD: The CID police on Wednesday arrested a person, said to be a close aide of Bhanu Kiran, an accused in Maddelacheruvu Suri’s murder, in connection with land disputes. The accused was produced in Nampally court and sent to judicial remand till February 29.
CID police said, Ramanjaneyulu Gupta was involved in land disputes and had also threatened the owner of a land located in Miyapur. Based on the complaint lodged by the land owner, CID police arrested Gupta on Wednesday and produced him before the court. Police booked cases against Gupta under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust ) and 506 (intimidation) of IPC.
The court sent the accused to judicial remand and he was shifted to Cherlapally prison.
