NALGONDA: A RTC bus driver was killed and a lorry destroyed in fire in a mishap at Pamanagundla village of Kattangoor mandal on Sunday. According to police, P Visnuvardhan Reddy (42), a resident of Kalmera village of Kattangoor mandal, was going to Hyderabad in a car when it collided with a diesel-laden lorry on the Hyderabad- Vijayawada highway on Sunday.

The truck burst into flames due to the collision and Visnuvardhan died on the spot.

However, the lorry driver managed to escape from the fire. Vishnuvardhan worked as a RTC bus driver in the state capital. Traffic came to a standstill two hours on the highway after the incident. Kattangoor SI Krishna Rao registered a case
