Lorry thief nabbed at Abdullapurmet

HYDERABAD: A man, who was engaged in stealing parked lorries or parts, was arrested and property worth more than Rs 30 lakh was recovered from him on Tuesday. Among the vehicles he had stolen was an oil tanker at Hayathnagar here last week and an RTC bus from the MG Bus Station (Imliban).

Police said the accused, R Raju alias Manchu Raju, hails from Karimnagar district.

He would steal lorries parked on the roadside and sell away their parts.

He would take stolen lorry to a secluded place and remove its wheels, batteries and diesel from them, Hayathnagar police SI M Madhu Kumar said. Police nabbed Raju while moving on a stolen two-wheeler at Abdullapurmet
