HYDERABAD: The Telangana Vidyarthi Ikya Vedika has called upon the people of the region to boycott Tollywood actor Ravi Teja-starrer Daruvu.
TVIV activists had recently disrupted the film’s shooting at the APSRTC hospital in Tarnaka.
The organisation alleged it is a conspiracy of Seemandhra filmmakers to conduct shooting of a film near the Osmania University campus.
“They (Seemandhra filmmakers) want to show that the separate Telangana movement has waned,” TVIV president K Mahesh told reporters on Sunday.
Alleging that Seemandhra filmmakers have created hurdles in release of films with the separate Telangana theme like Inkennallu and Jai Telangana, Mahesh gave a call to the people of the region to boycott Daruvu.
“Seemandhra directors forced losses on producers from the region by creating hurdles in the release of films depicting the separate Telangana theme,” he alleged.
