HYDERABAD: Non-inclusion of Telangana Congress MLAs in the state cabinet even though they had watered down the regional movement in the hope of landing berths should serve like a slap in their faces, Telangana Congress MPs have said.

After an informal meeting at the residence of Peddapalli MP G Vivek here on Thursday, they said Congress MLAs from the region had underestimated the intensity of the Telangana movement.

“Though the flames have died down, the embers are still smouldering and it might flare up again into a major movement any time,” Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy said.

The MPs said they would extend their full support if the Telangana government employees went on strike again as they were feeling let down by the government since it had not regularised their strike period so far.

The MPS who attended the meeting included Madhu Yashki, Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek.
