CHITTOOR: Unidentified miscreants broke open the doors of Kalyana Konetirayuni temple at Keelapatla in Gangavaram mandal in the early hours of Saturday and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs .5 lakh.
According to Palamaner rural circle inspector V Chandrasekhar, the stolen valuables included 8.5 kg silver crown and ‘thoranam’ of Ammavaru along with 250 gram of gold ornaments.
Sniffer dogs and Clues team were pressed into service. Two special teams were formed to nab the culprits.
