Report on APPSC proposals given to CM

The high-power committee formed to study the proposals of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) in January, had submitted its report to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday with several recommendations.

The chief minister directed chief secretary Minnie Mathew to study the committee’s report and submit her inferences at the earliest. Interestingly, Minnie Mathew was the chairperson of the committee, while she was CCLA.

 In October 2010, the then in-charge chairman of the APPSC proposed certain recommendations for amending the rules of procedure.

The chief minister had constituted a high- power committee to study the proposals of the APPSC in January this year.
