As many as 15 students in ST Hostel for Girls were taken ill at Chandrasekharapuram in Kodavalur mandal on Thursday after drinking contaminated water.
The girls were admitted to the primary health centre. District medical and health officer Masilamani, who visited the village, said all the 15 girls were out of danger. Preliminary enquiries revealed that sewage water got mixed with drinking water that was supplied to the hostel.
