Zaheerabad police on Saturday arrested a gang which tried to kidnap a government high school teacher at Uggeli village.
Samuel, working as a physical education teacher at government school at Kaveli crossroads in Kohir mandal, was having a long pending dispute over some financial transactions with his relative, Srinivas. Both of them belong to Mogadampalli in Zaheerabad mandal.
Srinivas planned to eliminate Samuel and accordingly, along with four of his friends from Hyderabad, reached the school in a car.
After the school closed, they followed Samuel, who was going home on a motorcycle, and kidnapped him on the outskirts of Ranjole village in Zaheerabad mandal.
