Gaiety marks Ahobilam fest

KURNOOL: The annual  ‘Brahmotsavams’ at Ahobilam temple near here were being held with pomp and gaiety. The processional deities of Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy, Laxmi Devi and Chenchu Laxmi were taken out in a colourful procession on Friday.  

Similarly  the Garudavimana  vahana seva  of Yoga Narasimha at lower Ahobilam and  Abhishekam and  Hanumantha Vahana seva in the night  attracted  a large number of devotees to the temple.

The ten-day annual festival commenced on Feb 28. The jeers of Sri Ahobilam Math  are camping at Ahobilam to oversee the rituals. Ahobilam temple, located in the picturesque hill range of Nallamalai, attracts around one lakh pilgrims during the celebrations every year.
