TIRUPATI: In a major breakthrough, the forest staff have seized 9.7 tonnes of red sanders logs in three different incidents in the district in the early hours of Wednesday.
Speaking to mediapersons, here, the Tirupati Wildlife management circle divisional forest officer T Chakrapani said that acting on reliable information about the transportation of valuable logs, the forest staff took up patrolling and seized as many as 227 logs along with three vehicles.
