HYDERABAD: AP Transco is unfazed by the penal provisions imposed for overdrawing power from the national grid.
Chairman and managing director of AP Transco Ajai Jain says the hike in the price of power for overdrawing does not worry him since AP never had overdrawn. The price had been hiked to tame the states which have the habit of overdrawing. If one overdraws, it would lead to the grid becoming weak. “The condition has been imposed only in the interest of maintaining a healthy grid,” he said.
