HYDERABAD: The state government has entrusted the probe into the alleged irregularities in allotment of house-sites in the jurisdiction of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority to the vigilance and enforcement department and asked for a detailed report within three months.

The enquiry will be conducted in regard to the allotment of sites in survey No.127 at Madhurawada village in Ozone Valley Phase- II, and in other survey numbers and layouts in violation of rules.

Speaking with reporters here on Saturday, minister for municipal administration and urban development M Maheedhar Reddy said the government, after examining the report of Vuda vicechairman Kona Sasidhar, decided to ask the directorgeneral of the vigilance and enforcement department to estimate the revenue loss to the authority and find out the persons responsible for the irregularities.

The value of the land is put at Rs 500 crore.
