Ponnala Lakshamaiah writes to US on outsourcing embargo

Minister for information technology Ponnala Lakshamaiah has requested Union minister of external affairs SM Krishna, Union minister for communication and information Kapil Sibal, and US ambassador Nancy Jo Powell for measures to resolve certain issues in the interest of the information technology sector and for the mutual benefit of trade relations between the two countries.

 Speaking to reporters here on Friday, he said the IT Industries Association of Andhra Pradesh (ITsAP) voiced concern over US’ embargo on outsourcing of IT projects and BPO services.
