Karnataka former minister Gali Janardhan Reddy’s personal assistant, K Mehfuz Ali Khan, on Wednesday pleaded the court to shift him from the Chanchalguda prison, where he was lodged after his arrest by the CBI, to another prison in Bangalore. The CBI produced him before the special court after the eight-day custody of Ali Khan ended on Wednesday.
The judge asked him whether he was inconvenienced by the investigating agency during custody, to which Ali Khan replied in the negative. Citing family problems, he said he has an eight-month-old baby and that his father was also suffering from ailments.
The judge asked Ali Khan to file a petition, which was filed by Khan’s counsel.
