With elaborate arrangements being made for the Chakrasnanam, the TTD has set the stage for the grand finale of Navarathri Brahmotsavams which conclude with the holy bath to Sudarshan Chakrathalwar on Tuesday, said JEO KS Srinivasa Raju.

Addressing mediapersons at the media centre in Tirumala on Monday, the JEO said, all arrangements have been made for the mega fete which is considered the most important after Garuda Seva during Brahmotsavams. “We have set up special enclosures for the pilgrims, VIPs, media persons and others. Pilgrims will be allowed to enter Swamy Pushkarini from 4.30 am onwards the number will be limited to 8,000 persons,” he said.

After the ritual, the pilgrims will be allowed to take the holy dip in a phased manner. For their entry, the TTD has set up six gates-- three on west mada street, two on east street and one more in the southeast. Officials and VIPs will be allowed to enter the Pushkarini only through the main entrance of Varahaswamy temple located on the north mada street, JEO added.

“As a security measure, 24 divers and another team of well-trained swimmers from NDRF battalion will be stationed around the Pushkarini. We have also kept boats ready,” he said.
