Two children belonging to Timmapuram village of Dornala mandal in Prakasm district died of suspected dengue fever while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Guntur city on Friday night.
Sources said the deceased were identified as 14-month-old Vallapaneni Sandip, son of Kasaiah and Venkatalakshmi and eight-month-old Parimisettu Karthik, son of Kasiramulu and Nagamani. While the baby boys were suffering from fever for the past six days they were admitted to a hospital in Guntur just four days ago. DMHO of Prakasam district K Sudhakar Babu said the boys were suspected to have died of dengue. Meanwhile, a medical camp was organised at Timmapuram on Saturday.
