BJP state president G Kishan Reddy will begin his three-day deeksha for Telangana at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Monday.
The BJP, which sees the CPI and TRS as potential rivals in the battle for Telangana, wants to gain as much lead as possible by organising the deeksha. The TRS, which claims to have the right on Telangana movement, is fully entrenched in the Telangana hinterland.
The CPI too is in an aggressive mode to gather the Telangana people on its side, with the slogan that the present government is incapable of delivering Telangana and that it alone can fulfil the dream of a separate State.
